The process to setup wireless range extender of any company is almost same with minor differences. If you are going to set up the Belkin router, then you need to have following things with you.
A Belkin Range Extender.
A wireless router SSID along with its password. This password is used to authenticate your device on the network.
If you are using a router having dual bands, then it is recommended to use an SSID and wireless password for 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.
A wireless supported device like computer, tablet or laptop should be there with you. The steps which we are going to discuss with you may vary according to the model. 1st step: The very first step to start with the setup process is; connect your Belkin extender to the power supply by connecting its power output to the socket.
2nd step: Switch on your computer or other capable device and go to Belkin. Setup link. If your network is not available, then you need to reset your extender by pressing the Reset button on the back side of your extender. Now connect to the network again.
3rd step: Open the browser and enter ‘Belkin. Range’ address in the address bar. Click ‘OK’ to go to the page.
4th step: You can also enter the IP address of your extender directly into the address bar. This address is available on the back side of the device or just below the device. A setup page will then get opened on the screen.
5th step: Now go to option which says, ‘Get started’. It will now start searching for your ‘SSID’.
6th step: Select the network you want to extend with the help of the network. Click ‘Next’ to proceed further. Wait for few seconds until the setup gets connected to the network.
7th step: Enter the password of your wireless network when prompted and click ‘Next’ to move to next step. If your device is not connected, then wait for few seconds. The authentication may take some time.
8th step: If you are using dual-band network, then select the network which you want to extend and repeat step 7. A single band Belkin range extender will automatically detect 2.4 GHz band.
